Savigent is seeking an ambitious and talented Inside Sales Representative, responsible for selling our software and services primarily by telephone and through developing field campaigns with our sales team.

Job Description

In this role you will sell Savigent’s software and services for the US market. You will engage Savigent’s prospective customers, prepare and present demonstrations of Savigent’s solutions, and manage the sales cycle from qualification to close with the sales team. You are a confident communicator with excellent presentation and customer service skills and have the ability to persuasively present Savigent’s product offering to C-Level executives. You’ll also work closely with members of Savigent’s Services, Marketing and Engineering teams to strategize on account growth, prepare proposals, and share customer needs & successes. Our current Sales Team has increased our YTD revenues significantly, with a strong win ratio, so come prepared to hit the ground running!

Responsibilities

You will work with other members of the Sales and Services teams. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Follow up on inquiries generated through existing web and marketing programs
  • Prospect, develop opportunities, prepare appropriate documentation and close sales
  • Work closely with the Sales Engineering team to qualify prospects, answer technical questions and conduct product demonstrations
  • When appropriate, work closely with colleagues in Engineering, Services and Marketing in a team effort to maximize the solution and the corresponding sale
  • Maintain detailed records of calls and information requests sent in Sales database
  • Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company
  • Assist in the development of sales training material
  • Assist Company in conveying customer needs to inside team (Product Managers and Engineering) to ensure our long-term competitive edge
Required Qualifications
Test
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 2+ years sales experience in the enterprise software industry selling to both engineering and executive teams
  • Exceptional track record of quota and goal achievement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills
  • Ability to engage potential clients and communicate effectively via telephone and WebEx

The Opportunity

Savigent Software is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Communication Specialist to work cooperatively with management and the sales team.  Key functions will be creating, coordinating and supporting the development and implementation of marketing communications tactics that effectively promote the company’s products and services to customers and prospects in order to improve visibility, develop consistent branding, and increase demand generation to positively impact business results. The candidate must be sales-focused, responsive, creative, strategic, proactive, and hands on, with the ability to work with all levels in a high growth, opportunity-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Marketing Solutions:

  • Direct the creative process for new lead generation initiatives and guide external teams by setting clear creative direction and sharing strategic guidance to develop and manage high-impact lead generation and nurture programs and deliver a steady pipeline of high-quality leads to our sales teams
  • Determine the right mix of campaign elements to drive results and integrate multiple campaign creation, marketing automation, data optimization, and / or CRM projects into a seamless experience for our sales team and clients
  • Measure and evaluate the ROI on marketing initiatives using metrics established by the sales and management teams
  • Consult and coordinate solutions for drafting advertising text and layouts, sketches of supporting graphics, and other marketing initiatives
  • Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references
  • Research media coverage and industry trends and conduct extensive media outreach

Savigent Brand Standards:

  • Create branding standards to guide development and coordination of multimedia packages—letters, brochures, video, point-of-purchase displays for particular assignments, if needed
  • Create (write, edit, proof and deliver) press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals
  • Promotes teamwork and coordinated execution of strategic Marketing programs across functions to ensure the brand recognition of Savigent solutions

Sales Team Support:

  • Create, nurture, and manage buying interest through campaign management, lead management, marketing analysis, and data management
  • Identifies, cultivates and analyzes markets, competitors, and targets
  • Understand customer life cycles with a focus on understanding each buyer’s needs and facilitating their decision process, rather than merely pushing marketing messages at them
  • Align campaigns with the Savigent sales processes and creating the needed tools to execute and monitor marketing strategies
  • Use of CRM systems, specifically entering leads, updating opportunities and creating/running reports in Salesforce.com
  • Prepare sales presentations and develop sales proposals with sales team

Administrative support:

  • Coordinate conference, trade shows, press interviews, scheduling and logistics
  • Prepare and provide input for sections of RFPs/RFQs
  • Communicate with Engineering on issues identified from field observations and customer feedback and proactively take initiative to follow-up on pending issues
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years writing and editing experience, preferably in a software environment
  • 1-3 years’ experience in supporting sales a plus
  • Strong user in all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including listening and retention skills
  • Ability to develop creative marketing materials with imagery to reinforce the intended message
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and handle inconsistent workflow
  • Ability to assess circumstances, problem solve, and make sound independent decisions

The Opportunity

Savigent is looking for energetic sales candidates with a proven track record of success in a sales role within software and services in manufacturing environments.  This role will involve managing and driving the sales process from lead identification through closing business including coordination with internal engineering resources.  Savigent is a rapidly growing organization and we are looking for a self-starter to join our team.

Responsibilities

Directly drives revenue by finding and closing new targeted accounts, specifically:

  • Helping build strategic relationships by understanding and articulating company value, building relationships at all levels, gaining access to key decision makers, and leverages referrals
  • Demonstrating understanding of how customer’s organization operates and how to influence decisions and gain commitment
  • Selling effectively by following a disciplined process, listening to the customer and leveraging his/her knowledge to appropriately differentiate and match company solutions to customer needs
  • Intuitively understanding what is happening in a conversation (strong interpersonal skills)
  • Knowing where “it’s” working (type, profile, identification and execution) in order to explore additional opportunities and spending time with accounts demonstrating the most potential

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales experience with direct, business-to-business software sales experience required
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Operations Management Systems is highly desired
  • Proven ability to quickly build trust, rapport and a relationship with multiple clients
  • Proven track record of lead identification and full cycle sales experience through closing business
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and sell how Savigent products and resources can impact their business
  • Experience structuring sales transactions and negotiating terms and conditions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills: verbal, written, and listening

The right candidate will also possess the following competencies and skills:

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing environment (understanding process orientation)

A moderate (40%) overnight travel is required for this position.
