Enhanced Capabilities Highlight As One’s Catalyst PDC™ v2.0

MINNETONKA, Minn. – September 28, 2010 – As One Technologies, Inc., announced today the release of Catalyst PDC™ version 2.0. The update features several significant additions to core functionality, all designed to enhance the software’s unique ability to collect and analyze both process and context data within a manufacturing environment.

Catalyst PDC™ is a part of As One’s expanding Catalyst™ suite of software products, which provides customers with highly flexible solutions for their workflow automation, manufacturing intelligence and systems integration needs. Specifically, Catalyst PDC™ provides manufacturers with a real-time, context-aware data historian, in addition to a comprehensive data analysis tool.

Jay Mellen, executive vice president of business development at As One Technologies, said, “We’re tremendously excited about the release of Catalyst PDC™ version 2.0. We’ve added significant capabilities to the software with this release, including integrated store-and-forward, data compression, data archiving and purging, a new library of Microsoft Excel functions and an enhanced Microsoft Excel add-in for data viewing.”

Mellen continued, “We live in an event-based world, and what really differentiates Catalyst PDC™ from other historians on the market is its ability to both capture and contextualize data in real time. Catalyst PDC™ has been optimized to capture and store both time-series process data as well as event-based context data. By collecting both sets of data we are able to deliver contextualized information – information with depth and meaning – to our customers about their manufacturing equipment and processes.”

Catalyst PDC™ v2.0 also leverages the unparalleled connectivity available through the Catalyst™ platform. Data collection solutions are quickly and easily developed using the flexible and feature-rich Catalyst SDP™ agent libraries. This provides open connectivity to a wide variety of equipment, devices, databases, enterprise systems, and communications and messaging protocols. “The open connectivity of Catalyst PDC™ – truly, of the entire Catalyst™ suite – makes acquiring data from any source a matter of simple configuration rather than complex coding,” said Mellen.

David Wicker, As One CEO, said, “Our goal in every instance – whether we’re releasing a software update or implementing an entire manufacturing operations management system – is to enable our customers to produce their products more efficiently, effectively and economically. Catalyst PDC™ version 2.0 gives our customers a tool that allows them not only to collect and analyze data, but to do so with context. This context is the key to completely and fully understanding – and, ultimately improving upon – manufacturing equipment and processes.”

Implementations of Catalyst xM™ are currently underway for multiple customers in a variety of industries including the semiconductor, aerospace and defense, and specialty chemical sectors. Implementations in the industrial, contract manufacturing, and food and beverage sectors are planned.
